Students from periods 6 and 7:
Quarter 3's outside reading assignment is a 3 paragraph response to the book you have read. Answering the following prompts will give you the basis for your writing. The due date is March 16th.
-Provide the necessary information about your novel (title, author, number of pages, genre).
-Write a brief and ORIGINAL (not cut and pasted form online) synopsis of the book.
-Select two "golden lines" from the novel and explain why they are significant. A golden line is a passage or sentence that makes you wonder, makes you laugh, makes you sad or upset, connects with your life, sounds poetic, encompasses the theme of the work, reveals the turning point of the story, or any combination of the above. In other words, they are quotes from the book that move you and are significant.
-Explain who would enjoy reading the book and why.
Be sure the paper is typed, 12pt. Times New Roman font, double spaced, correctly formatted, and titled.
